Juliet had to admit, summer was quite a bore.

Most days, she liked walking around and doing artist stuff, like sketching some buildings in Peachtree City with the sketchpad she would always bring along with her. Even the hot weather won't stop her from enjoying herself. Family outings and trips were also considered enjoyment in the summer.

But today she didn't bring a sketchpad, and today she thought that it was all getting pretty boring, sketching the city and stuff. This time she brought a cellophane with four quartz-sized paint cans of different colors in it, and two large paintbrushes. While they were getting heavier and heavier as she walked, they were necessary for the activity she was about to do today, so she didn't dare let go.

Juliet was about to do something... rebellious.

School wasn't up today because it was summer (obviously), so Juliet was thankful about that. Even though there are some students taking summer classes here such as that drama class that involved Shakespeare, those students weren't going to stop her from doing this thing. She just has to keep her head low so she wouldn't get caught.

The small sixteen-year old scanned the area for any sign of presence around, before ducking and rushing over to where the parking lot was located. Yeah, she knew she would probably get killed in the parking lot, because that's where the delinquents go, but she was also quite the delinquent herself. In a creative manner, that is.

Scanning the parking lot once she arrived, she sighed in relief. Whew. No one's here. Then she walked up to the darkened white wall that covered the end of the parking lot.

Now what to do with this little blank wall over here... She thought as she looked over the white wall, humming. Boring now, beautiful later. Suddenly an idea sparked just so suddenly into her mind, and she bent over to grab one of the cans of paint she was carrying.

Let's start with red.

Grabbing one of the brushes in the cellophane, she smirked and dipped the brush into the can. Once it was filled with red, she began to brush over the wall.

Once this is done, this wall's gonna be a huge portrait later on.

❝ every wicked bit of you ❞

The gentle breeze rolling by, the bright clarity of the bluest skies, the faint laugher coming from children and teens, unburdened by the monotony and stress of school, all put Levi into the mood to go out and draw a huge piece of phallic imagery on school property. Distasteful, some would call it- prejudice and venom shooting from their mouths. Nay, Levi thought, it was an expression. An expression of what a huge pain in the ass he was. And glorious his artistic expression would be.

One would think someone like Levi would derive nothing but the most paramount, euphoric pleasure from summer break. And while the first days of summer vacation were always the sweetest release after torturous weeks of prolonged anticipation for freedom, Levi would inevitably miss all the possibilities for causing havoc that places like schools offered. Like how firemen needed fires to be firemen, despite probably not liking fires themselves, Levi needed school to be Levi. And while he still had many other viable options to choose from in order to cause a bit of chaos, he hated to admit that school was just stifling enough to give him that extra fire to act out just a bit more than he would have otherwise. There’s nothing quite like an authority figure’s boot pressing down on his throat that made Levi want to bite back harder. This relationship, for better or worse, was symbiotic.

Which was precisely why, after his lovely (and forgiving) Aunt Marley served him a nice stack of pancakes for breakfast, Levi got thirty dollars worth of spray paint with money he nabbed from her purse and headed down to Ridgeview High. It was fairly easy to make his way on school grounds, the peacefulness and warmth of the pleasant summer day seemed to have lulled everyone on site into a state of reckless calm. Something that he planned to take full advantage of. He reached the parking lot and began planning the composition of his piece- detailed or simple? Abstract or realis- ah never mind, he wasn’t talented enough for that. Simple with bold lines would do.

He was approaching a wall in the parking lot where some of his peers would gather to smoke during lunch (only to get caught and dragged to the principal’s office, the amateurs) when he noticed that someone had already beat him to it.

“Hey,” he said blandly as he looked down at the girl before him, the backpack full of spray paint he had slung on his shoulder clanking about noisily, “That’s my spot.”

A little bit of red here, and some browns there...

She thought as she scrapped the dual-colored paintbrush all over the wall, a huge grin on her face. Perfect. She had planned on making a rose painted over the wall, with thorns all over it to show her rebellious side, and so far it was starting to work. Juliet stopped for a moment and dropped the paintbrush on the ground, then looked up to the wall in delight. So far, so good. She'd already done the first part of the rose.

Thorns next, She mused to herself before bending down to pick up the paintbrush. Before she could paint once again, though, a male voice from behind her came out of the blue, making her turn with a raised eyebrow.

A young man was there, suddenly pointing out that this was his spot, and for a moment Juliet almost wanted to kill herself. This guy's probably one of the delinquents around here, and if she wouldn't act now, she was screwed for sure. Or... maybe not. After all, the two of them were the only one around here right now, so she's probably fine.

Juliet simply smirked and turned back to the wall, starting with the first vines of thorn around the rose. "Really? Who said so?" She asked, then turned back to the young man with a teasing smirk on her face. "I think I already beat you to it, though. How about we share and paint this wall together, if that's what you're up to?"
