A beautiful boy with hair as white as the snow was born in Bordeaux France. On August the twentieth. He would soon be named Delmar Rey. Of the sea king was his name. From the day he was born, Delmar started waltzing his way into trouble. He started waltzing his way through life like nothing else mattered because both of his parents were well known in the entertainment world. His mother was a ballet dancer since she was a small child. His father was a personal dance instructor to a lot of the new talents that came and went. So dancing was in his blood since the day he was born.
At age four, Delmar found himself getting in line. Taking dancing lessons. He found himself wanting to show his parents that he was, in fact, their rightful son. The son that would show them all the pride of the Rey name. So from a young age, the boy had fallen in line. He started to dedicate himself and all his in his dance lessons. Although, his parents were always too busy to teach him. So he had dance teachers that would show the boy how to move his body. How to loosen his joints and just let the music show him the line he needed to follow. Allowing the music to move him. Telling him it was as easy as breathing once you let the music in your body. The child soon realized just how fun it was to dance.
At ten it was time for the boy to shine. It was Delmar's time to show his parent how talented he had become. Show them that their son moved his limbs like no one they have ever seen. His movement was perfect, his timing was spot on. Yet. The one thing he forgot. He needed a partner for this dance. So during this part of his live Delmar had realized something was off. That a Salsa dance needed a partner. Meaning, he'd soon realize a surprise his parents had in store for him. So while his parents had finally noticed him. Complimented him and told him he was the perfect child. Delmar couldn't be anything but excited because his mother had bragged on him and how hard he had been working until today for her.
It takes two to tango, his mother told him the day he visited her at the hospital. Looking up at her he was a bit confused to why she would say that. Sure he knew his mother had been pregnant and he was going to be a big brother now... but did that mean he was going to have to share his spotlight? That didn't sit well with him at all. So he stormed out the hospital room when he was told that as soon as his little brother got older then he was going to be Delmar's new dancing partner. No! He wouldn't share his spotlight with someone that waited ten years before making an appearance in his life.
By the time Delmar had graduated from high school he found himself swinging into the business world. By nineteen he was in college getting his degrees to become a dance teacher. Swinging from corse to corse to make sure that he had everything he needed. However, somewhere along the time, he heard about a Japanese sword art that seemed to excite the male. So like the dance itself, Delmar swung around with the crowds to figure out what he wanted to do with his life. Because it seemed like he now had a second interest that caught his attention. Falling in love with both dancing and the swordplay they called kendo.
By twenty-four, he borrowed money from his parents to open a kendo dojo. At first, his parents were anything but ecstatic because they thought he was wasting his time. Yet when he shoved the degrees in his parents face he found himself grinning. He had registered in California as a dance teacher. Delmar was more than willing to prove to everyone why dance was just as important to students and their learning. So Between working at the academy, he was running his own dojo. seeing how he feel in love and wanted make a career of both. With the doors open and his suit at hand. Delmar was ready to do the cha-cha with his students.
