little Martian girl
Hadlee could admit that when it comes to knowledge of the arts, she was severely lacking. It's not that she didn't have any knowledge at all, per say. It's more like she had a harder time stringing along the ideas of it into one cohesive subject. Basically reading notes and trying to play at the same time was downright impossible for her. Hadlee could list off elements off the periodic table and tell you their exact number of electrons, protons, and neutrons, and whether it was acidic, poisonous, dense, brittle, or gaseous. She could list off Cryptids and know any known information on their habitats, their appearance, their calls, footprints, and eating habits, but, as her favorite angry squid would say, she didn't know an oboe from an elbow.
Honestly it was kind of pitiable how she sat on a stool in the music room, pouting over instrument she was trying to learn for music class. In theory, the cute little ukelele she had cradled in her arms was considered one of the easist ones to learn, and yet she couldn't figure out at all how to strum it the way the books said, or the way her teacher showed her. Hadlee whimpered and her head drooped.
"I wish Mayonnaise was an instrument... that I could work with..." she muttered, more to herself than anything, and ruffled her multi-colored locks in defeat. It was times like these that she wished she had a magic music fairy like that girl from la corda d' oro. Man... that would be so sweet... So lost in her thoughts, it would be easy for someone in that exact moment to sneak in without her knowing.
here We go!
