Which happened to be today.
After deciding to take the walking route to the pool, he had already warmed up enough to just get changed into his swimmers and just straight into the pool. Not literally of course, that was dangerous and he'd rather not hurt himself. No he lowered himself in just to make sure. There were plenty of kids around who just jumped in but he didn't want to be one of them and get in trouble.
The water was nice and cool, which was what he had been hoping for honestly. But coming by himself really hadn't been a good move at all. Letting out a sigh Arata would look around him for anyone he might've recognized. Someone from the school that he'd seen or something like that. Anything was better than being there on his own.
His gaze turned to one of the lifeguards. Were they on duty? Oh well. It wouldn't matter either way would it? She would totally be allowed to talk to swimmers. So he pulled himself out of the water and sat down near her. At least conversation was going to be easy!
"I'm fine!" He said, offering a smile as he ruffled his own hair and tried to regain his breath. "You're not allowed to jump in? That doesn't seem fair. It looks like you could use a chance to cool off."
